Using Your Library Picture
Welcome to the Clinton-Macomb Public Library! To get started using our collection of over 300,000 items you need to register for a library card. You may register online or at any CMPL location.

The library will determine who is eligible to borrow materials and will provide for the return or replacement of such materials. In order to make materials, equipment and space available to all customers on an equal basis, the library will set policies for the length of in-use, loan period, renewals and fines.

Pickup, Return, Renew
After requesting that an item be put on hold, patrons will receive a phone call or e-mail in- dicating that the item is ready to be picked up.
Customers can return items to any CMPL location or any library within the Suburban Library Cooperative.

Most materials can be renewed if there are no other holds on the item. Patrons can renew by calling the renewal line at (586) 226-5020 or by visiting the online catalog and signing into Patron Account.
Priority Holds
CMPL is pleased to announce a change to our software, which gives priority holds to residents of Clinton and Macomb Townships. This service arranges the holds queue to ensure that residents receive priority when receiving holds.

All other SLC libraries currently offer a version of this service for their patrons. If you are a nonresident, you may place a hold at any time and maintain your position in the holds queue, but you may have to wait a little longer to receive requested items. But, because all other SLC libraries offer this service, you might get your item sooner by placing a hold through your home library.
