Featured Program ImageHave you written a book that you’d like to publish outside of traditional publishing avenues? Join Gerald Rice for this program at the Main Library on Monday, June 3 at 6:30pm on how to self-publish eBooks. We’ll discuss Kindle, Nook, and Smashwords detailing how to set up accounts, upload files for publication and payment information. Secondary services including the Kindle Select Program, and being able to enter reviews for Nook when you’re uploading a new title as well as how to solicit for reviews and social media marketing as part of being your own eBook publisher.

PAWS for Reading is a program that has caught on in schools and libraries nation-wide to help youngsters become successful readers. Specially-trained therapy dogs help improve the literacy skills of children by providing a fun atmosphere where kids can be confident reading aloud and interacting with the animals.

Look for the PAWS for Reading program on our calendar of events at all three CMPL locations.  No registration is required.  Children of all ages are welcome!
