1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Parents of babies and preschoolers are encouraged to read 1,000 books to their child before Kindergarten. Read the same book 1,000 times or read 1,000 different books...it doesn't matter as long as you're exposing your child to language. Log your books through your Beanstack account and some to the library to pick up prizes along the way. Get the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten form.

The Kindergarten Challenge
This has been designed by CMPL to assist your Kindergartener in their literacy development. Your child has received the Kindergarten Challenge packet which includes the poster of 100 books to read during kindergarten. Find these books in our collection by looking for the ones with the orange star on the spine. Get the form Kindergarten Challenge here.

50 in 1st
We have chosen 50 books we think 1st graders will love. Your child may be able to read some on their own. Some are meant to be read aloud by an adult. The more opportunities you provide for your 1st grader to have positive reading experiences, the more likely you are to raise a lifelong reader. Find these books in our collection by looking for the ones with the blue star on the spine. Get the 50 in 1st form here.

Storytellers logo small2nd Grade Story Tellers
Students should choose books at their reading level. If a student struggles with more than 3-5 words on any given page, the book is probably too difficult. Set aside a regular special reading time for your child to read aloud to you. Get the 2nd Grade Storytellers form here.

True 25 logo3rd Grade True 25
Students can keep track of 25 nonfiction titles they read over the course of this academic year. Students read three nonfiction books of his or her choosing that fits within one of six categories. Get the True 25 brochure.
