The Donald W. Green Local History room at the Main Library offers a high-volume scanner and a VHS-to-DVD converter to residents of Clinton and Macomb Townships. The high volume scanner can be used to quickly digitize a stack of old photos. The VHS to DVD converter allows you to play back home-made VHS tapes (in real time) and save a copy onto a DVD (you must supply) for archiving purposes. There is also a 35mm slide digitizer that will convert old 35mm slides to digital pictures. These are self-serve stations and we provide step-by-step manuals to assist you through the process. Please call (586) 226-5040 to set up an appointment to use the equipment.
